Ultimately, this is a nice way to strand Lockdown on earth - is he still alive? Will he opt to work for the autobots at some point? Who knows. I'm rather pissed at Prime's cables, since they won't be in the toy (as far as I know) - did we REALLY need Prime to play Batman? I mean, I don't need Prime to go "super mode" each episode, although having the occasional "I'll leave my trailor behind" plotpoint really would clear things up. I really, REALLY hope Hasbro wakes up, produces a "Leader" sized Animated Optimus Prime with combining fire engine trailor or something, such that Prime can look cool and not like a warped Huffer in season 2. Yet again, Prime's only a fire truck cab. It's this kind of inconsistency that makes me think "bad writing". However, later, Ratchet drops a car on Lockdown, thus showing that he doesn't think machines are living things. The ratchet bit in the beginning (they sell PARTS?) was reminicent of the classic "machines are living things" characteristic some writers try to force into transformers (Note: This places TF along the same lines as Cobra-la, in living vehicles/etc.). so don't expect to see it play a major plotpoint any time soon.īlitzwing can probably find earth relatively easily now, thus paving the way for a decepticon invasion - out of revenge first, then out of Megatron's commands when he stands up. Although, of course, 'cons probably have some good armor, and wiping out the bad guy's memory seems a bit "evil". capable of wiping out a transformers memory. You have to respect the "shadows" on Lockdown's cybertronian alt mode - is he a different car? We hope so, but we'll never get a cybertronian alt mode of him.Īs for the episode itself, it kind of makes sense - this one "decepticon" isn't high in the ranks, but he's a bounty hunter, thus we can expect he'd be good at taking out other TF. However, her design suggests that she'd be a cybertronian alt mode toy. although, if she never appears again, it won't matter what she transforms into as a toy.
Hopefully Hasbro had them hold off on having her transform so that they could make a proto.
There is, of course, a problem - we never see her transform. Since all of the Animated toys thus far are Deluxes or Voyager, Arcee could end of being an $7-8 basic (as that's the cost of new basics nowadays.), or could be made into a nice deluxe. Well, from a toy-perspective, this gives us the Lockdown toy we've seen, and leaves the possibility of an Arcee toy open.
